KZG's Adam Kaufman Attends the International Council of Shopping Centers' 2017 Strategic Leadership Summit in Washington, D.C.

KZG Principal Adam Kaufman joined members of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), a KZG client, in the nation’s capital last month for their 2017 Strategic Leadership Summit. ICSC is the global trade association of the shopping center industry, representing more than 70,000 members in over 100 countries, including 34 states in the U.S. ICSC members include shopping center owners, developers, managers, marketing specialists, investors, retailers, brokers, and others. ICSC’s purpose is to advance the shopping center industry and to promote its role in the commercial distribution of consumer goods and services through research, education, and advocacy.

During their annual meeting, ICSC members from across the country descended on Washington to discuss key legislation impacting the retail real estate industry, meet with Congressional offices, and participate in legislative briefings by policy experts. In attendance at this year’s event for a luncheon discussion on retail real estate issues was “Meet the Press” host Chuck Todd and ICSC Chairman Kenneth Bernstein.

Adam provided ICSC members with an update on legislative activity in New Jersey and discussed relevant issues pertaining to the industry. Additionally, Adam utilized this opportunity to engage with Congressional representatives and their staffs about the challenges and opportunities the industry faces in New Jersey and across the United States.
